Grapemo Week #2 WEEKLY UPDATES

Akoss "I was able to meet my word count goal 3 days out of 6 this week. It's not perfect but enough to keep me going. I hope to get more done this week."

another_wip "I did BETTER than 2 pages a day this week (I did four just last night.) So I am up to date on my goal and if the motivational 'issues' don't kick my butt (this is my personal weasel) hoping to get two chapters out of this short little month."

barbarabaker "It's been a mixed week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday I worked (I'm a substitute teacher in a daycare)...I never get any writing work done on those days. But Wed., Friday and today (Saturday) I packed up my writing stuff and headed to the library where I put in a full day of writing work. And, I'm pleased with the revisions so far. I'm slowly reading through one of the two manuscripts, stopping to make some changes, and to write notes about further revisions needed. I've also re-read Cheryl Klein's SECOND SIGHT: AN EDITOR'S TALKS ON WRITING, REVISING @ PUBLISHING BOOKS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS. Hope everybody is writing like crazy!!!"

edgyauthor "I finished one comic strip and started working on six others."

fandoria "Well, I didn't get my 15 minutes in on Tuesday or Thursday, but I definitely made up for it on Wednesday and Friday. Basically, this past week I wrote for a total of 2 hours and got 2500 words."

feonua "So my progress this week isn't wowing. at all. had my plot half worked out...then got a new idea. not sure how much will carry over, but the new idea is very shiny and full of possibilities."

Jean D. "Started off the week a little slow, with a major cold that wiped me out most of last weekend and the beginning of the week. Picked up steam this week though, and even got a short, fictional letter out to Writer's Digest for a feature they call Reject a Hit. Mine had to do with A. A. Milne and Winnie the Pooh."

kbaccellia "I was able to hit my revision every week day! Yay, me! Goal for this week is the same. Hope to tackle at least one revision chapter based on critique buddy's feedback."

Kathie C. wrote 2500 words on the introduction to her book on aging this week.

Kim V. "I am excited that edits are completed on 125 pages of my WIP. I'm feeling really good about this one!"

melissawyatt "I'm just shy of 3,000 words."

Michelle H. "Life got in the way, but tomorrow is a writing day!!! Better news next report."

newport2newport "Working hard on my Book Map and revising certain passages in WITNESS, per a beta reader's suggestions. Yay, I'm on track to complete my Grapemo goals by the end of February!"

Neva F. "Sun: (Feb 3rd) 1 hr 15 min. Mon: 2 hrs. Tues: 1 hr 45 min. Wed: 1 hr 30 min. Thurs: 2 hrs. Fri: 3 hrs. Sat: (zero - sorry, we went to the ocean and dug razor clams). TOTAL: 11 hrs and 30 min - if I added correctly...

onegrapeshy "I've completed about 30 pages of revisions, which means I'm up to page 63 (out of 96.)"

swhisted "A rough start to the week, but a solid finish with 3,566 words towards my 5K Dreamsters goal."

Vickie M. "I had one critic read and critique my work, and I have two more lined up. Then I had a friend read my teaser, and she gave me her opinion on that. I read a couple chapters, working on the tenses and grammar, not to mention, rewrote some stuff that didn't seem to be grammatically correct."
