Grapemo 2013 WEEK #1 REPORTS

Here they are! Congrats to those of you who managed to squeeze in some writing on this very busy Superbowl weekend. For those of you who didn't get much done, never fear--we have a whole week ahead of us!

another_wip "I got my page each day...and hoping to get at least two or three pages today."

Barbara B. "I was at the SCBWI NY conference this weekend. So, no time for writing. But I took plenty of notes from editors, etc. and I will apply them to my revisions. I think I can focus now more on some of the things I need to be working on that editors feel are important. I'm looking forward to making some real progress this week."

edgyauthor "I've completed two comic strips and only have ten more to go to reach my goal!"

fandoria "I feel like I'm off to a great start. I even started two days early. And on Friday, I ended up writing for half an hour instead of my 15 minutes. That makes a total of 1 hour and 1700 words this week!"

feonua started plotting DELUSORY DRAGONS--"How's that for a title in five minutes?. This is my first attempt to break my pantser ways. Let's see how it goes."

fuguemacabre"I've managed only 2,000 words. Mardi Gras, Super Bowl, kind of puts a pinch on time. But I'll make it up this week."

Kathie C. "My achievement is that I got started! Read through and sorted out earlier writing toward an introduction to the book [or is it chapter two? haven't figured that out yet, LOL.]

kbaccellia "I was able to get to one revision chapter every day except Friday. This coming week will work harder!"

lalam "I did some thinking of the story, I wrote an interview with my character (and) restarted Chapter 1. Not much, but I have a better idea what I'm doing."

Lana K. "I've had the flu, but between passing out and sleeping, I've managed all of about 300 words. Does dreaming dialogue count?"

melissawyatt "655 words! Off to a good start on my good start."

Neva F. "I have been going over an old ms, Prairie Elephant (historical family memoir)... It needs a major rewrite, and every day I've been able to spend approximately three hours on it (total 9-ish hours.)"

onegrapeshy "I revised 4 pages (out of 93) of my LMB proposal. Big whoop lol."

swhisted "Nothing to report yet. :/"

I don't know what's going on with LJ. I got the Teaser entry on my friends page, but not the updates page. Is anyone else having problems?

This is so screwy, Barbara! I don't know what it's happening since we're mutual friends. :(

Fortunately, Melodye reminded me about the check in-- totally forgot! basically, I've had a pretty ineffective week, but I have done some work on bookmapping plot, which is a huge help in organizing and condensing my way-too-structured novel.

It's excellent!!! get a copy of Cheryl Klein's Second sight-- she'll tell more. I have had the description of the process for several years, thanks to a local writing group member who shared-- but only actually started using it last week. Very very helpful.
