Grapemo 2011 WEEKLY UPDATE

Good morning, Grapenuts!

Well, I had this all in place and just needed to change the time--and the whole freaking post disappeared. So I went back through my old mail and think I found everyone, but if you sent me an update and don't see yourself here, please let me know so I can jam you in somewhere add you to the list.

So far, so good!

brian_ohio(like your frazzled hostess here)—is also torn between two projects. He finally said eff it to the one “and hit the other with no idea where I'm going.” But he did hit 3,000 words!

catherine_james wrote one paragraph this week, “accompanied by *lots* of in-the-head piecing-together/world construction. “ Her revised PWG: writing 500 words of fiction each morning—“SO excited by all the gruesome possibilities Valentine's Day is inspiring!”—and book reviews in the afternoons/evenings (minimum of three this week in order of publication dates).

daretoimagine says she didn’t do as well as she hoped, but did work on it and knocked out 451 words! (hey, way more than yours truly)

edgyauthor  added roughly 2,000 words to her YA fantasy WIP.

fandoria wrote three days again this week—half a scene each on Wednesday and Thursday and a full scene on Saturday.

jaylatte got stuck with a nasty dose of man-flu (sorry, Jay!) but is now BACK ON TRACK!

Jean D is still writing “although I digressed to work on the CWIM article, which is coming along, thank goodness” and plans to continue to write every day, “and back to UGLY DUCKLING this week.”

Kathie C is starting and stuck, starting and stuck, and HATES inventing new worlds and new cultures. She did, however, do the first round of edits on the first three chapters of her fantasy novel. :)

[info]kbaccellia
wrote another 1000 words--now her WIP is up to 41K!

Laura H had another great week. She wrote about 5k and came up with “lots of new ideas for future aspects of the novel.”

learningtoread’s goals were:
1. come up with a query letter—“drafted!”
2. re-read her NaNo 50k—“started!”
3. begin revision of her NaNo 50k—“formulating!”
4. blog 1x a week—“blogged like 2x this week!"

nefaerious was able to “edit/slash the word count on 2 chapters” although she’s disappointed she didn't finish revising the rest of her first chapter. “My PWG for this week is to start working on my synopsis” and she also starts her two-week workshop today.:))

onegrapeshy didn’t do much except begin re-reading WIP # 2—“I’m totally not loving it”—but she did complete an entire workshop on self-editing for future use. Revisions expected today, so she'll spend the rest of Grapemo getting as much done as possible.

Patti M met her goal of 28 hrs of work this week!!!

shoebrera  is back to re-examinating the first page of her first story and has turned it over to critiquers--again.

sookie06’s update: (no, Sookie--not measley) :)
1) Arrange notes and print out
2) Write the two myths I have begun drafts for
3) Plan characters better
4) Start re-writing the beginning

Don't forget: TEASERS TOMORROW!

Oops! I forgot to update this week. I don't think I did much more than a few edits until today. :-) I do have a teaser for this week though!

Ah but there's a formatting error in mine - I have only done the first two on the list...

Congrats to everyone!

I'm running a ridiculously high fever, but that's ok. At least I can spell ridiculous, unlike 93% of the people on facebook. And before the germs got me I did manage to write 6 or so pages of my Grapemo goal scene.
