First we had dinner at the China Sea Restaurant. It was a buffet. An AWESOME buffet. I never realized how much I adore deep fried crab legs. The fact that I had worn a coat I can't even button did not deter me from circling the buffet table like Jaws.

Next, we saw BILLY ELLIOT at the Palace at Playhouse Square. Have you seen the movie? This movie has one of the best endings to a film I've ever seen. The play was fantastic, though the ending wasn't as heart-wrenching and memorable as the movie. But I sat there and sipped my frozen pina colada, completely meserized for a solid 3 hours.
The actors "danced" their curtain calls to standing ovations. Then, at the very last minute, Michael Dameski--the actor portraying Billy--leapt into the air...and landed on the floor.
Hard.
And not on his feet.
He didn't move. Neither did the audience; we sat there, stunned. The other actors stood around, also stunned, before rushing to the center of the stage.
Abruptly, the curtain fell. After another minute of silent confusion, the audience rose, murmuring, and slowly left the theater. There was nothing about this on the news this morning, but I've been upset since it happened. It looked like Michael landed on his shoulder, but it easily could've been his head. And he never did try to sit up.
So, till that point, it was a wonderful evening. Please send healing vibes to Michael!

Glad you enjoyed the show. And the buffet! The winter is young - you have time to button your coat later.
