Let me just say I had this whole post completed and ready to go and the LJ TROLL ATE IT! I know, I know--always write it in Word first. When will I learn?

Anyway, here are your PWG Updates! If you are not on this list and you sent me an update, let me know b/c I might have missed it when I went back through my old messages. If you did not send me an update you can send it anyway because I'm totally whacked out on drugs and feeling pretty mellow between flashes of intense intercranial agony.

You go, Grapenuts!

anywherebeyond tore through her revisions and now she's letting the book marinate while she decides whether to revise it more, leave it alone or kill it with fire. The “kill it with fire” stage is (historically) a good place to be at--it just doesn't feel good while she's in it.

brian_ohio wrote 2 new chapters in his WIP this past week--about 16 pages.

catherine_james finally realized and accepted she doesn't know her characters well enough to move forward, but made some progress on where the WIP will go plot-wise.

edgyauthor continued revising her WIP, plus rewrote half a chapter and merged two others together. She is one-third of the way done with her revision!

fandoria finished her half chapter from last week and wrote a whole new one this week! Just one more to go and she will make her goal.

feonua wrote 3000 words on her WIP, leaving her 11000 away from her goal of 60k.

Kathie C wrote and submitted some material for a children's book and made a first attempt to restructure plot and characters for SON LIGHT since
since the new research that came out this week on her MC (a historical figure) totally screwed her original plans.

kathys_shadow wrote 1461 words—461 words over the planned 1000 words—and is now super close to making up for the shortage of words last week

kbaccellia worked this week on the beginning of GODDESSES (more like writing, deleting, writing, deleting) and is up to five pages of a new beginning. She’s also working on 20 pages a day of final edits for CROSSED OUT.

kaz_mahoney revised her PWG to include only TIW (done) and the story, and hopes to write and revise the rest of this story by the end of the weekend.

newport2newport is revising her Grapemo goals this week: she will completely revise and polish two chapters, not four. So far she LIKES what she’s written.

njnelson is several grapes shy of her PWG (onegrapeshy cracked up here) after a major distraction in Week #2—she’s been doing more journaling than writing fiction—but plans to give it her best for Week #4 by, word count aside, writing EVERY DAY.

onegrapeshy’s face blew up after a tooth extraction so she got very little done. New PWG is to finish 100 pages of line edits by end of the weekend.

ophelialaughs remained creatively bankrupt this week so she jumped ahead on her lists of goals and made the list of five agents she’d like to query. For the last week of Grapemo, she plans to avoid further failure by making it her PWG to NOT finish this draft of the book: “UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I be finishing in February, nope, absolutely not!!”

Patti M feels a bit off target with several sick days this week; though down on the word count, she’s nstill plugging away at each aspect and hoping to finish strong!

Sher Wm finished three scenes and an outline of new book + finished last edits of 3 chapters and struggled with synopsis. This week's goal: finish edits for last two chapters, write a just-in-case replacement scene for chapter 14, and more struggling through her $%^&*()@#@#$% synopsis. And maybe actually start the new book?

Crap! I meant to send you my update! I've written 2 new chaps in WIP this past week. About 16 pages, I think.

Sorry I'm late!

I forgive you. This time.

I am happy to see all the wonderful accomplishments here. :)

I hope you feel better soon, J. *hugs*

Sorry I didn't send anything, but I haven't accomplished much apart from hanging out with Richelle Mead (yay!) and Suzanne McLeod (yay!). Tee hee...

I am about a third of the way through my short story. Because TIW revisions took me SO freaking long, I have amended my PWG. Originally I wanted to complete TIW revisions, write the Moth short story, and also complete revisions on Moth's novel. Not gonna happen. *sigh*

So my new goals will only include TIW (done) and the story. I have until the end of the weekend to write and revise the rest of this story. It'll be close, but I'll try my best.

D'oh!! I knew I forgot something yesterday... sorry. I was recovering from an almost all nighter at my mom's gabbing with the girls!! (Say that 5 times fast.)
