GRAPEMO 2011: WEEKLY UPDATE, Week 3!

Thanks for being so patient with my delay, and also for the updates! I 'm so proud of you guys! :)

TEASERS to be posted shortly...

daretoimagine had a busy week, and also a wonderful weekend away, (except for that “no internet” part) and still managed to hand-write about 300 words.

catherine_james completed and turned in 2 book reviews, is finishing up a third, and “wrote 211 new words for a section of B&T, plus other character/story/world development.”

edgyauthor added “a few hundred words to my YA fantasy WIP and did some general editing.”

fandoria had, unfortunately, “pretty much the week from you-know-where" and got not much done.” --And after peeking at her blog, I totally understand why. (((hugs)))

Jean D revised her CWIM article and participated in a writing exercise at a SCBWI meeting on Saturday—“What a difference in my attitude when I didn't push myself to stay more focused.” Though she didn’t get a chance to work on her MG novel, definitely hopes to get back to it this week.

kbaccellia wrote 1,000 words on her WIP. :)

mehouts squeezed out 9750 words in the last three weeks: “Some snowed-in, never-got-out-of-my-pajamas days early in the month helped." (No need to feel guilty abut no updates or teasers--look how much you accomplished!) "Keep up the good work everyone!!"

nefaerious  “kicked butt on my first week of Synopsis Workshop did all the required lessons!” She also edited a bit of her ms, and, this week, will be writing both a 5-page and a 2-page synopsis to turn in for critique. :D

njnelson say she's having her usual problems with consistency, i.e. not writing every weekday and jumping around when she writes—and has “therefore been wondering if this seed in me really is a story to be told.” But she is NOT GIVING UP! “I thank you and all of the grapenuts for continued inspiration!”

onegrapeshy went through her entire ms, corrected typos and made the minor required changes. This week she will work on eliminating 2 third-person POVs so that the entire story is told by only the MC.

Patti M didn’t quite make her goal this week—first, she was ill, then spent the weekend out of town caring for her grandchildren—but “I'll be back on track this last week!” writing 4 hours a day and taking Sundays or weekends off when necessary, and plans to continue doing it in the future. “Again, a big thanks to you!”

sookie06 suddenly noticed she is VERY close to finishing her goals for GRAPEMO and feels a “nice sense of accomplishment” and completed # 4 this past week:

1) Arrange notes and print out
2) Write the two myths I have begun drafts for
3) Plan characters better
4) Start re-writing the beginning
