Why do doctors' scales ALWAYS weigh 10 pounds more than the average bathroom scale?

I've often wondered that myself, but now I just ask them not to tell me what I weigh. (Because they have faulty scales anyways)

I'd have to close my eyes b/c the numbers flash right in front of my face!

UGH. I'm glad my doc at least has a sense of humor. I couldn't STAND one that stood there and lectured me. She just rolls her eyes and suggests maybe I should switch to raisin bran instead of Cocoa Puffs, lol.

Me: "Do you know what they DID to Raisin Bran? They took out the SUGAR! Who wants to eat THAT?"

It's a conspiracy. Really. It is.

Oh I KNOW! I had a shock when they had me step on the scales last time. I weighed A LOT more than at home...

BTW that picture is freaky.

I'm convinced the nurse steps on the side of the scale.

It's part of a great conspiracy to destroy your self esteem. And it gives them something to nag you about.
