Upward and (hopefully) Onward

All the crossed fingers worked (thank, everyone) and I got yesterday off, spent it at Borders, and line-edited 48 pages.

This is what I'm trying to keep in mind during this process:

A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. ~William Strunk, Jr., The Elements of Style

Have another happy, productive weekend, Grapenuts. I'm preparing for another writing (editing) marathon tomorrow. Care to join me?

Yay for completing so much line-editing (and having the time to do so)! I might be doing a marathon writing session starting tomorrow afternoon. I'll check in with my progress - more motivation! :)

Wow, what a great quote. That's one to put above the desk while revising - which I'm currently snowed under with . . . maybe I should pull out that little Strunk & White book more often, eh?

Yeah, except I cursed myself by taking pages to work on in case I had a couple minutes of downtime (I am so stupid, will I never learn?) and never once TOUCHED it because it was sooooo fricking CRAZY!!!!! I didn't get out till after midnight.
